The Clever Wolf’s Disguise
Deep in the dark forest, a cunning wolf lurked, watching a flock of sheep graze near a meadow. His stomach rumbled, but the shepherd and his watchful dog kept the sheep safe.
“If only I could sneak past them,” the wolf muttered.
Then, he spotted something—a pile of fluffy white wool left behind by a sheared sheep. A sly grin spread across his face.
“Perfect! If I look like a sheep, I can get close without anyone noticing!”
The wolf wrapped himself in the wool, blending into the flock. He mimicked their gentle bleating, taking slow, careful steps among them.
At first, no one suspected a thing. The shepherd glanced at the flock, counted the sheep, and saw nothing unusual.
As night fell, the shepherd led the flock into the pen, unknowingly locking the disguised wolf inside.
“Now I can feast!” the wolf thought, licking his lips.
But just as he prepared to pounce, the shepherd returned, carrying a lantern. He looked over the flock and said, “It’s time to pick the fattest sheep for tomorrow’s feast!”
Before the wolf could react, the shepherd grabbed him—mistaking him for one of the plumpest sheep—and took him away.
The wolf tried to howl, but it was too late. His own trick had fooled him, leading him straight into danger!
Moral of the story:
“Those who deceive others may end up trapped by their own lies.”
