Story:
Leo loved exploring the attic of his old house. It was filled with forgotten treasures—dusty books, mysterious trunks, and old gadgets from the past.
One afternoon, he spotted a small brass alarm clock hidden in a box. The hands didn’t move, but the moment he picked it up—RIIIIING!—the clock buzzed and flashed brightly.
In the blink of an eye, Leo wasn’t in the attic anymore.
He was standing on golden sand, with a giant pyramid towering before him!
“Whoa! Am I in ancient Egypt?!” Leo gasped.
People in flowing robes walked past, carrying baskets of dates and papyrus scrolls. A tall man in a headdress pointed at him. “You! Who are you?!”
Panicked, Leo gripped the alarm clock—RIIIIING!—and FLASH!
Suddenly, he was somewhere else.
This time, he was in a forest, and a group of knights in shiny armor rode past.
“The Middle Ages?” Leo whispered.
A knight stopped and looked at him. “Young traveler, where is thy horse?”
Leo gulped. “Uh… I, uh—”
RIIIIING! The alarm clock buzzed again!
Before he could explain, Leo found himself floating—but not in water. In the sky!
He looked down. The ground was far below, and cars were flying!
“This must be the future!” Leo gasped.
Towering glass buildings sparkled under the sun. Robots zoomed by on floating sidewalks. A friendly robot with a screen for a face beeped at him.
“Greetings, time traveler!” the robot chirped. “Need directions?”
Leo grinned. “Actually, I just need to go home!”
The robot pointed at the alarm clock. “Set it to the right time, and you will return!”
Leo looked at the clock—its hands were spinning wildly. He took a deep breath and twisted the knob to 4:00 PM—the time he left his attic.
RIIIIING!
With a final FLASH, Leo tumbled backward—right onto the attic floor!
Everything was quiet. The old alarm clock lay beside him, still dusty, still unmoving.
“Was it all real?” Leo wondered.
Then he reached into his pocket—and pulled out a tiny, golden pharaoh’s coin from ancient Egypt.
Leo’s eyes widened. “Whoa… it really happened!”
He hugged the alarm clock.
“I can’t wait for my next adventure!”
Moral of the Story:
